The first DAC-Unit in an air conditioning system
DACMA GmbH implements a first DAC-Unit in an air conditioning system
We are delighted to have received a new order from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) to integrate our DAC unit into a building air conditioning system to study the synergy of the ventilation and CO2 removal functions depending on outside climate conditions and determine optimal operational strategies.
We will be delivering our DAC-Unit in autumn 2024.
As part of the BMBF-funded Sector Coupling (SEKO) project, new possibilities for the technical extraction of CO2 (DAC) from ventilation systems are being investigated. To this end, a DAC module is to be integrated into the air conditioning system at the IMVT on the roof of a building and its optimised operation with renewable energies is to be tested.
This application is a highly interesting new use case for our DACMA units.
