First Direct Air Capture system is now operational in South America
DACMA GmbH brings direct air capture technology to South America: BLANCAIR system successfully put into operation in Porto Alegre, Brazil
On April 19th, we successfully commissioned and delivered BLANCAIR, the inaugural Direct Air Capture System, to our valued customer in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
We take great pride in reaching this significant milestone for South America, as well as for our company, DACMA GmbH, in introducing advanced German technology to this region.
This DAC plant with a capacity of 15TA (tonnes per year) is a first running plant for research and development for the University PUCRS – Pontificial Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul.
Two BLANCAIR units with a capacity of 60TA, which have been operational in Hamburg since November, have now arrived at the port of Porto Alegre, with additional containers en route. In July, we anticipate deploying the 300TA BLANCAIR system to bolster our customer’s carbon storage initiatives.
