DACMA Brasil Launches: Pioneering Direct Air Capture Projects in Salvador and Porto Alegre with SENAI CIMATEC, Respol Sinopec and PUCRS
This is a big step for us to start the second project in Brazil together with SENAI CIMATEC in 2024 to build a Direct Air Capture System (DAC) – BLANCAIR – with a capacity of 5,000 tons per year in Salvador de Bahia. The feasibility study will be completed in 2024 and the project can start with our Brazilian DAC company.
In July our DAC.SI project with Repsol Sinopec Brasil and PUCRS (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul) we will put the first 300 tonne/year plant into operation in Porte Alegro. This BLANCAIR system was built in Hamburg and will be delivered next month.
New projects in South America are being negotiated.
BLANCAIR successfully tests first DAC prototype for Carbon Capture
BLANCAIR marks milestone: successful testing of first DAC prototype in Hamburg, poised for deployment in Brazil
Hamburg, 2023 September 5th – BLANCAIR is delighted to announce the successful testing of its first Direct Air Capture (DAC) prototype, developed by DACMa GmbH in Hamburg. This prototype, designed to combat climate change, can capture 15 tons of CO2 annually from ambient air.
Scheduled for commissioning in Brazil at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) in December 2023, this system will play a vital role in underground CO2 storage.
Moreover, BLANCAIR is poised to expand its impact further, with a next-gen system a 300-ton per year capacity set to be commissioned in Porto Alegre in July 2024.
BLANCAIR remains dedicated to pioneering carbon capture solutions, taking proactive steps in addressing global carbon emissions.
